Go on safari and find inspiration from the natural world, then sketch and create unique creatures each day. Learn about the local ecology and biology from naturalists and transform this knowledge into believable beasts and critters using pen and paper (and other supplied mixed media). Animate your creatures using stop motion techniques. Led by UMass Dartmouth Professor Michael Swartz, an award-winning digital media artist specializing in 3D animation, visual effects and game art. Creatures designed this week can be used to elevate animated shorts during ‘Nature Animation’ to the next level. Sign up for both weeks and receive $100 off!
For children grades 6-9
