CAMP #1 MINECRAFT STAR WARS (GRADES 5-8)
This year the theme is STAR WARS, the legendary film series that has entertained young and old alike for three decades. Build replicas of famous Star Wars structures within your Minecraft and collaborate with other participants to create a Star Wars world within the game. As in all our Minecraft classes, detailed attention is paid to the design attributes of the Star Wars art and architecture and how we can deploy them within a Minecraft setting.
CAMP #2 STOP MOTION ANIMATION (GRADES 5-8)
There are numerous other ways to make interesting and fun stop-motion videos using a variety of materials, drawings, and even real people. This class will create funny, engaging short videos using student actors, props and visual tricks in a stop-motion format. Students will brainstorm ideas for skits, make props and act out roles while being photographed. Then they’ll see how the photographs are edited and transformed into short videos that they can share with others. Every student has a hand in contributing ideas for skits, handling props and acting.
