FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND at Mohonk Mountain House

TThe best way to celebrate Dad is with a Father’s Day weekend getaway at Mohonk Mountain House. Treat Dad to a weekend away, with or without the family, at our Victorian castle resort, featuring a must-play Hudson Valley golf course, hiking on over 85 miles of trails, delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options from our culinary team, and family-friendly activities on the lake, such as canoeing, paddleboarding, and the start of lake swimming. The majority of Mohonk’s recreation venues will be operational with physical distancing and cleaning measures in place.

Kids’ Club will not be operational this summer as it requires co-mingling of children from various travel parties.

Activities and Evening Entertainment
Activities and Evening Entertainment events will be modified to incorporate physical distancing measures and will be designated at outdoor venues whenever possible and will ensure six-foot distancing between guests’ parties.

Striped Box with Popcorn

Outdoor Kids’ Movie: Madagascar & Build a Buddy

Take a break after dinner and watch this family favorite, Madagascar. A heartwarming and action packed animated adventure featuring some of our favorite characters; Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman. Running time 86 minutes, Rated PG. 2005. Complimentary popcorn.
Buddies are $30 each. Include; buddy, stuffing, birth certificate, and heart.

Evening Campfire

Take a seat by the campfire and construct s’more of our favorite gooey treats and enjoy an old-fashioned sing-along!

Archery

Join a member of our Recreation staff out on the range for a hands-on introduction to archery focusing on safety and basic target skills.
Ages 13 and up. Space is limited to 20 people. Closed-toe shoes required. All participants must go through a 15 minute safety protocol at the beginning of the session. This cannot be repeated if missed.

DIY Father’s Day Card Making Kits

Stop by to pick up your very own Father’s Day Card Making Kit then find a spot that sparks your creativity and craft a special message for the special guy in your life! Appropriate for ages 4 and up.

PVC Road Rally

Your team will be tasked with building a race car out of PVC pipe and race a course! Be prepared to put your thinking caps on. Up to six players per team. Recommended for families with ages 4 and up.

Family Scavenger Hunt

Each team will receive a list of riddles, items to find, and memories to make together. Can you find all the items on this list? First team to answer the most questions correctly in the shortest amount of time wins! Recommended for families with ages 4 and up.

Join a member of our Recreation staff out on the range for this fun and challenging survival skill that focuses on safety and basic throwing skills.

Outdoor Barn Movie: Field of Dreams

Enjoy an outdoor movie in the courtyard of our historic Barn Museum. Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella, hears a voice in his corn field, “If you build it, he will come.” He interprets this as an instruction to build a baseball field on his farm, upon which appear the ghosts of Shoeless Joe Jackson and seven other Chicago White Sox players banned from the game for throwing the 1919 World Series. When the voices continue, Ray seeks out a reclusive author to help him understand the meaning of the messages and the purpose of his field. 107 minutes. Rated PG, 1989. Stop by to pick up a DIY Father’s Day frame to make as a keepsake from your weekend with us or give as a gift to your special guy. Appropriate for ages 4 and up.

Egg Engineering

Can you construct the perfect egg protection module? You and your team will be responsible for the design, construction, and implementation of the module. Each team will test theirs out at the end. Up to six members per team, for ages 4 and up.

Family Putting Tournament

Putt around our 18 hole putting green for your chance to win the tournament, a Mohonk summer tradition over 120 years old. Up to six members per team, ages 4 and up.
