Teatown Lake Reservation is a nonprofit, environmental organization with a nature preserve and education center located in Lower Hudson Valley. Teatown Lake Reservation’s mission is to inspire our community to lifelong environmental stewardship. Teatown Lake Reservation's 1,000 acre nature preserve and education center is located in the Lower Hudson Valley, in Ossining, NY.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION 
Teatown teaches ecology and encourages responsible interaction with nature. The goal of our educational programs is to instill a love of the environment, positive attitudes toward conservation and environmental protection and a sense of personal and civic responsibility. We have programs for school groups, scouts, children, teens, families and adults.

 

Visitors are welcome to:

  • Hike 15 scenic miles of trails, ranging from the leisurely to the challenging
  • Participate in our numerous weekend programs including hikes, animal encounters and seasonal activities for all age groups
  • View our resident raptors, amphibians, reptiles and mammals
  • Tour Wildflower Island, a 2-acre sanctuary that is home to more than 280 native and endangered species of wildflowers (seasonal)
  • Visit Warren's Sugar House (seasonal)
  • Visit Wildflower Woods, a unique outdoor living classroom
  • Join in our annual regional festivals including Teatown's Hudson River EagleFest, Pancake Brunch and Plant Sale
  • Browse the Nature Store filled with environmentally-focused toys, crafts, jewelry, books, and gifts for all ages

ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERS LEARNING ALLIANCE (ELLA)
Teatown's dedication to the protection, restoration and long-term management of our region's biodiversity is evident in the Environmantal Leaders Learning Alliance (ELLA) an active group of 100 leaders from 28 towns and villages across the Hudson Hills and HIghlands.
