Dr. Aron Rose is an ophthalmologist and Chair of the Bioethics Committee for the White House initiative on Cancer Diagnosis and Care in Sub-Saharan Africa. An Associate Clinical Professor at Yale, he has spent nearly three decades creating training programs and volunteering service to patients throughout the developing world.
Dr. Rose will be discussing some of the frustrations and gratifications he has experienced fighting blindness and attempting to bring cancer care to the world’s most impoverished and remote locations, including India, Uzbekistan, China, Mongolia, Bhutan, Ghana, Myanmar, Liberia, the Gambia, and Rwanda.
