White Plains Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk

Join us as a walker, runner, marcher or spectator as we honor our Fallen Soldiers. In addition, a charitable donation will be made to the Veterans Administration Hudson Valley Health Care System-Montrose Campus. The day starts with a moment of silence and the playing of the National Anthem in front of City Hall at the start line at 8:10 am.
5K Runners and Walkers are encouraged to bring attention to their own military service, or to dedicate their participation to a friend or family member who served. Free tee shirts for the first 150 adult participants to register and awards for top runners in each age and group category. The course will start at City Hall on Main Street to North Broadway onto the Bronx River Trail and finish at Cottage Place. Timing will be tabulated by Westchester Road Runner. The post-race activities will include refreshments, raffles and an awards ceremony. Participants and spectators are then encouraged to view the White Plains Memorial Day parade which will march along a portion of the course that the runners/walkers have just completed. The parade will conclude with a ceremony held at the Rural Cemetery, North Broadway.

Course: City Hall/Main Street to North Broadway to Bronx River Trail and finish at Cottage Place

Students, 13 - 21 years of age: $10
Children, 12 years and under: Free
Pre-race Packet Pick-up: The North Face at Westchester Mall, 125 Westchester Avenue, White Plains, during store hours: Friday, May 26, Noon through Saturday, May 27, 8 pm
Start time: Run/walk will begin promptly at 8:15 am
