This is a music ensemble with NO AUDITIONS! You just have to want to play music with others, and be willing to commit to showing up and playing your part. We don’t mind if:
- you don’t have an instrument (maybe we have something you can borrow, or maybe you want to be a singer)
- you play multiple instruments, and want to switch around
- you don’t play very well (we’ve all been there)
- you don’t seem to learn music like teachers expect
Here’s how it works. When you come in to the program, parts will be created for you and your instrument that you can play at your level. You can then start to progress from there, and as you improve, we will work with you to add challenges to your parts so they never become easy and boring.
Sometimes we will have singing parts, other times we will do something completely instrumental. Switching between instruments (for different pieces) is encouraged! It’s great to experience music from different perspectives.
We will have a show for friends and family at the end of each session.
