2024 Summer Camp at Camp Pinebrook

Camp Pinebrook is an inclusive community, welcoming all. We incorporate Jewish values into our programming, helping our campers relate to Jewish life organically, where Judaism feels natural and relatable. We welcome other faiths, interfaith families, families with no religious affiliation, and families still exploring their connection to synagogue life and the Jewish community. There are at minimum eight 30-minute activity periods each day, including special programming on Fridays. Every day, campers have sports, arts & crafts, daily semi-private swim lessons and free swim. In addition, campers regularly participate in nature, science & discovery, music, drama, cooking, and yoga. Camp Pinebrook tuition includes towel service, all programs, lunch, and snacks. Our normal camp day is 9:00am to 4:00pm with extended care available from 7:00am to 6:30pm for those who need it.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Summer 2024: June 27th – August 22nd

Camp Pinebrook's exciting variety of age-appropriate daily sports, arts, science, and nature activities are designed to be non-competitive and inclusive to all. Their Red Cross swim program, taught in their state-of-the-art heated pool complex, teaches campers confidence and safety in the water. Weekly special events further instill Pinebrook’s whimsical culture of fun and silliness.

They incorporate Jewish values of social responsibility, respect, caring, fairness, and community in all activities and events, and campers quickly realize that Pinebrook is not just a camp, it’s a family.

The General Camp

Camp Pinebrook is divided into four divisions:

  • Dovim (3-year-olds)
  • Ktan (pre-k and kindergarten)
  • Beinonim (1st and 2nd grades)
  • Gadol (3rd to 6th grades)

The camp day begins with Boker Tov, an all-camp meeting at the outdoor Pinebrook Arena that’s filled with laughter, silliness, and tons of Ruach (spirit)! Each day continues with a variety of amazing activities, including one period of swim instruction and one period of free swim. Kosher lunch, snacks, and towel service (!!) is included in the camp tuition.

"On the Rise" / Counselors-in-Training Program (CIT)

Especially designed for teens and tweens entering 7th through 9th grades, ON THE RISE (better known as The OTTERZ) brings together the best parts of being a camper and staff member. OTTERZ choose the area of Camp Pinebrook they would like to work in (a specialty activity or a camp group) and they are assigned to that area for two weeks, after which they may switch if they choose to.

For teens entering 10th grade (15-year-olds), CITs will work with either a camp group or at a specialty area throughout each day. They are mentored by a group leader or activity specialist, and will receive hands-on experience working with children of all ages. Lunch and snacks are provided.
