After School Club for Teens (IN-PERSON)

Our NEW After School Club runs Mondays-Fridays @ 4pm-6pm

Held LIVE in-person at our studio location in Dumbo with safety restrictions in place (see below)
Perfect for teen artists who want to spend more time on their art, learn professional skills & techniques they can apply to further artistic endeavors. We will dip into different media that we cover in our regular class courses, so it’s also a perfect taster option for Teen artists who want to explore options before signing up for a class. We will cover a wide range of media: Traditional Drawing, Illustration, Cartooning, Character design, Manga & Anime Art - including various principles & techniques in figure drawing in styles such as: Shonen, Seinen, Shojo, Josei or Kodomomuke etc, Painting (Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastels), Landscape, Cityscape, Portrait and Still Life studies, Mixed Media exploration & Found Object Art. Teen students may also choose to work on personal projects or favorite media if they prefer- perfect for teen students working on their portfolios, who want to build up skills and explore different media,& create unique pieces of art for their portfolios. We work personally with every student to help them achieve their goals and nurture their unique talent and personalities. This is the perfect time for Teens who are thinking about a future in the visual arts or who already show great promise and need more time to focus on their artwork.

- The wearing of Masks is mandatory to cover nose & mouth at all times during the session.
- Masks should not be removed at any time during your camp session until outside of the studio.
- Social distancing must be maintained at all times with a distance of 6 feet apart as recommended by NY State.
- Any parent or guardian dropping off or picking up,must be kept to a minimum of one per student & to remain outside, as we limit our traffic in our studio. This is for everyone’s safety.
- Any parent or guardian who insists on entering at drop off or pick up must wear a mask immediately upon entering our studio which covers nose & mouth and may not remove this mask until back outside the studio.
- If dropping off or picking up please do not bring any other colleagues or children/ siblings into our studio who are not attending our classes and have not signed a waiver.
- If you insist on attending with a minor child or you are sending a guardian/ nanny etc in your place, please note only one person is allowed to attend, no other children including siblings unless they are registered for camp
- If you are sending your nanny, guardian caregiver in your place, you must agree certify on the waiver form at time of registration.
- All adults attending must adhere to the same safety guidelines and restrictions we expect from our minor students.
- Please do not bring any non-essential items to camp like soft toys or extra clothing, bicycles or scooters.
- If you insist on bringing a toy to our studio, please do not share it with any other student.
- If you are bringing snacks or drinks please do not share these with any other students or staff.
- Please be familiar with the safety guidelines prior to attending as outlined HERE
- These safety guidelines are put in place to protect our students and our staff. For anyone uncomfortable with these safety guidelines or who does not wish to cooperate we suggest signing up for our online programming. We offer online classes 7 days a week.
