Do you have a young scientist at home, ready to take a deep dive into shark science? Bruce Explorers is a new drop-off program for children ages 7 to 16 who are eager to do some exciting, hands-on work in a museum setting. At “Sharks on Display” on Sunday, July 28, 1-3 pm, Bruce Explorers will learn about the importance of science dioramas and will create their own mini model, based on themes presented in the Museum’s Sharks! exhibition. On Sunday, August 18, 1-2:30 pm, our Explorers will investigate “Shark Teeth Forensics,” including a lab session to study shark teeth by hand. Advance registration required at brucemuseum.org; fee: $80. For more information, contact Megan Brown at mbrown@brucemuseum.org or 203-413-6731.
