Festival of the Arts at Mohonk Mountain House

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/17/2018
Mohonk has long been a destination for artists who find inspiration in the unparalleled beauty of its surroundings and the founding family’s dedication to serving mind, body, and spirit. The summer Festival of the Arts, established in 1989 by Patricia Smiley and her husband, pianist Robert Guralnik, provides a rare opportunity for guests to experience a wide range of outstanding artists and entertainers in the intimate setting of Mohonk’s Victorian Parlor. Festival Director Maria Guralnik Melikyan has put together a lineup of Mohonk favorites from past years as well as first-time Festival artists. Among notable performers are pianist Frederic Chiu, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, Trout Fishing in America, and jazz guitar virtuoso Frank Vignola. Debuts include Grammy award-winning vocal ensemble New York Voices Unplugged, 40’s jazz band Fleur Seule, Upstate Rubdown featuring David Gonzalez, the dynamic dances of Fiesta Flamenca!, bluegrass musicians The Brook Sisters, and more. Whether you prefer family entertainment, dance, theater, or Broadway, folk, jazz, World Music, or classical, the Festival of the Arts offers a dash of creative inspiration to cap off your summer evening at Mohonk.
