Invasive species are no doubt something we have all seen in our daily life.  Whether you noticed it or not, that patch of Japanese knotweed growing where nothing used to grow, or that European starling that pushes the cardinal out of your feeder are both invasive.  To be considered an invasive species, there are a few criteria that must be met:

  • It is non-native to the ecosystem under consideration
  • It’s introduction causes or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm, or harm to human health.

Taking part is easy!

  • Watch our social channels and this page for updates on how you can take part this week and beyond. We will be delivering content through this week, and as we open and start our outreach programs, we will have public events listed on our event page.
