Logrea Dance Academy is the home of the Westchester Ballet Company with Beth Fritz-Logrea and Jean Logrea at the helm as Artistic Directors for the Company. The Nutcracker production is the crown jewel of the WBC. It is a sumptuous production with exquisite choreography, stunning costumes, and exciting special effects, performed each December before thousands of enthusiastic fans.
WBC has been performing The Nutcracker since 1950. With the support of the Westchester County Legislature and Westchester Parks & Recreation, WBC moved its Nutcracker production to the Westchester County Center in White Plains in 1996. Ever since then, this expansive venue has been home to WBC’s cast of 100 as it presents this big, bold holiday classic to a diverse and enthusiastic audience.
No other production of The Nutcracker in Westchester can compete with the scale and sophistication of WBC’s. Moreover, none in the county can compare with its affordability and accessibility to such a broad general audience, including school groups, girl and boy scout troops, seniors, and families that make attending an annual tradition.
