Robotics Lego Summer Camp - FTC Robocracy

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/14/2020
We would like to inform you that registration is now open for our summer robotics workshops 2020 edition. For kids in 2nd - 7th grade, we will offer a week of robotics fun based on the LEGO Mindstorms. We use a game-based approach to teach solid robotics foundations, engaging kids to build their own robots at home for many fun FIRST Lego League (FLL) projects. We will have a new challenge everyday and we will provide as much guidance as needed!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

For kids who don't not have lego kits or laptops, we will try and provide it to them. We will also provide need based scholarships.

The classes are taught by an award-winning robotics team, FTC-9773 Robocracy. Our high-school students have successfully competed for 8 years in the FIRST Lego League and FIRST Tech Challenge. Team students and parents have years of experience of building and programming robots, as well as coaching STEM.

We will have the camp from August 10th-14th over Zoom and we are making sure there will be enough breaks during the day so that the kids do not experience “Zoom Fatigue.” Tentatively, we will start at 9:30 and end every day at 1:30. There will be a lunch break in between from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
