Stepping Stones Hosts Egg-straordinary Egg-Stravaganza!

Stepping Stones Museum for Children has hours of family fun planned for our annual 6th annual Egg-straordinary Egg-stravaganza. Don’t miss out as this egg-citing event promises to egg-ceed all egg-spectations. We’re not egg-saturating because we already know that this whimsical egg-sperience will be all it’s cracked up to be… and then some!

Your child will be egg-static by the end of Egg-straordinary Egg-stravaganza. A day jam-packed with egg-stremely fun activities for the whole family. You won’t have to shell out egg-stra money for this egg-cellent adventure. The Egg-straordinary Egg-stravaganza is free with museum admission and no registration is required for the event. Don’t miss out!

**FIVE EGG HUNTS** 

Each hunt will be limited to 50 children and they only have to find FIVE eggs to get a prize. First come, first serve. Don't forget your basket!

Egg-cellent Activities

9:00 am (Members)

10:00 am – 5:00 pm 

The egg-citement ramps up with the introduction of our host, Benedict the Egg. Hatch a plan to join Benedict and take part in these fun activities…

 

Egg Toss

Aim for one of the holes in our colorful egg. Try to get one in each hole, compete with members of your family and friends.  

 

Exchange Egg-spressions
Children can mix and match the egg faces to discover new expressions and emotions! They can test their motor skills to create happy, sad, curious and silly egg faces.

 

Egg Carton Math and Coding Games

Children will be able to sort and categorize colorful items in egg cartons, shake the cartons to find out what numbers to add, subtract or multiply together, and create a path to get from one end of the egg carton to the other.

 

Make an Egg

Design an egg that fits your mood for the day. Choose from a variety of colored paper eggs and design away with paper pieces and/or crayons to create your own paper egg.

Egg Roll Races (Fitness Fun)

We’re setting up traditional and wacky lanes for you to roll your egg using a stick to finish the line – the challenge is to beat the facilitator to the end while staying in your lane.

Community Builders: Nest (How Does it Work?)

Get an up close and real experience by creating the correct shelter for eggs and learn about different types of animal shelters. The challenge is to help build a nest for all of the eggs.

 

 

1:30 – 2:00 pm
Exhibit Eggs-plorations – Egg Creation Station

Children will decorate and personalize an egg using their creativity, tape and markers. They can then take their egg and use it during egg rolls or for fun at home.

 

3:00 – 4:00 pm

Protect your Egg (How Does it Work?)

Young visitors can get up close and real experience with creating the correct shelter for eggs and learn about different types of animal shelters. They will be challenged to help build a nest for all of the eggs.
