Marta is a certified family and children’s yoga teacher and a holistic health coach. As a yoga instructor, she has been certified by Tara Rachel Jones – Flower Yoga School. This particular approach to yoga consists of not only asanas (physical exercises/ postures), but also proper breathing, relaxation, positive thinking, and elements of healthy diet. Marta believes that an early start in practicing yoga gives children and youth an excellent tool for self-regulation, stress reduction, better concentration, as well as building body strength and flexibility. It also helps in building a positive self-image. It’s a noncompetitive activity that conditions children and youth to deal much more easily with stressful situations. It balances their bodies and minds, and helps in building a strong character, based on universal positive values. Classes for teens have elements of yoga philosophy, mental self-care, and age appropriate modified postures – more like an adult class.
