This class is perfect for anyone who has taken our Beginner Drawing Technique class is excited to move on to more complex subject matter- capture people & anatomy in pencil, charcoals & inks. The human form is exciting to study but many students are intimidated by it, in this class we will put what we have learnt into practice and develop confidence. This is a great class to learn observational skills as you create drawings from subject matter (photos and pictures). We will look at bodies in motion-hands, feet, eye shape, nose shape, hair-how to create dynamic compositions & poses, 3/4 views and non-traditional angles. How to use perspective and mid-points to give your subjects a realistic feel.Every week we will begin with warm up preliminary exercises before we moving on to our subjects. We will create a fully realized portrait at the end of the session & your instructor will offer feedback & discussion last day of class.
