Two days of experiential learning of empathy and social skills. Working with horses eye to eye, can teach valuable lessons and the development of self awareness. These groups will promote the natural development of age appropriate social skills through interactions with a child’s peers and the horses. We will work on the development of skills needed to form and maintain friendships including:
-
● Recognizing your own emotions and those of your peers.
-
● Age appropriate coping skills to handle conflicts.
-
● Taking turns, sharing and being a more successful group member.
-
● Comfort during transitions.
-
● Increase feelings of self-esteem and self-confidence.
-
● Reduce feelings of social anxiety.
