Hallockville Museum Farm offers a unique day camp experience for ages 5-10 unlike anything else on the East End. Hallockville’s inspirational setting will surround campers with 250 years of agricultural history!

Hallockville Museum Farm offers a unique day camp experience for ages 5-10 unlike anything else on the East End. Hallockville’s inspirational setting will surround campers with 250 years of agricultural history! 

Daily activities at Hallockville’s Farm Camp include circle time interactions with farm animals including cows, sheep, and chickens, farm chores, feeding animals, and themed projects and activities.


WEEK 1: LIFE ON THE FARMSTEAD (PART I) → JULY 3 - JULY 7

Step back to a time without electronic distractions and experience life as it was on a farm. Campers will learn and experience how life was lived during a simpler time.


WEEK 2: NATURE EXPLORATIONS → JULY 10 - JULY 14

Campers will explore the 500 acres of fields and woods surrounding Hallockville and discover the North Fork’s flora and fauna. Plant, marine, and bird-watching experts will guide children in their journeys through the natural world.


WEEK 3: TOOLS AND TRADES→ JULY 17 - JULY 21

Farm life requires working with a variety of tools and implements to ‘get the job done’. With the guidance of craft peoples, campers will engage and hone their hands-on skills and creativity in working with wood, fiber, and more.


WEEK 4: BEES, BUTTERFLIES, AND GARDENS → JULY 24 - JULY 28

The Natural World is an intertwined web of relationships and campers will learn the importance of creatures that pollinate much of the food we need to survive. They will also put that new knowledge to work in the by planting, harvesting, and caring for the Hallockville gardens.


WEEK 5: JOURNEYING THROUGH HISTORY → JULY 31 - AUGUST 4

The history of the North Fork and the nation is one of immigration including Native Americans, European settlers, and more recent immigrants from many other parts of the world. Campers will engage historical examples of local immigration to learn how it’s shaped the culture of the area


WEEK 6: LIFE ON THE FARMSTEAD (PART II) → AUGUST 7 - AUGUST 11

Step back to a time without electronic distractions and experience life as it was on a farm. Campers will sew, wash, cook, chop and learn how life was lived during a simpler time. During Part II, campers will continue their exploration of farm and rural life using the resources of the historic Hallock Farm.
