How to Paint Faces for Beginners ( Adults)
For adults ages 18 yrs + over
The human face is an exciting study but many students are intimidated by it. In this class develop confidence through preliminary drawing and sketching exercises as we study compositions & poses, 3/4 views and non-traditional angles and mid-points to give our subjects a realistic feel, before moving on to painting a realized facial portrait on canvas. This is a great class for observational skills as you create drawings from personal subject matter: photos and pictures of loved ones or faces of people you admire who capture your imagination. Learn color mixing and how to set your subject in the right setting and how to employ light, to add tonal changes and employ a mood. At the end of the session your instructor will offer valuable critique to help inspire further artistic endeavors. Return students are very welcome in this class. Perfect for beginners who have taken a drawing class or painting class.
Art Supplies Materials are provided but NOT CANVAS . Please purchase a canvas and bring it with you to class, we recommend a medium size canvas if you are a beginner. All Canvas can be purchased at your local art store to support small business. You may need more than one canvas for a full class course pkg.
