How to Paint Facial Anatomy for Teens

For Intermediate Teens ages 13- 17 yrs

Teens, do you want to move on to painting more complex subject matter? The human face is an exciting study but many students are intimidated by it, in this class we will start with preliminary drawing sketches to understand and get to know our subjects before moving onto painting a fully realized facial portrait. Create drawings from your own chosen subject matter (bring in photos and pictures of loved ones or faces you admire) which will give your work a more personal feel. We will study compositions & poses, 3/4 views and non-traditional angles. How to use perspective and mid-points, and light source to give your subjects a realistic feel. At the end of the session your instructor will offer valuable critique to help inspire further artistic endeavors. Return students are welcome in this class to hone skills. This class is also suitable for those working on a portfolio who want to build up a good body of work.
