Introduction to Oil Painting for Teens

For Teens 13 yrs- 17 yrs

Learn how to Oil Paint! Get set up with the basics in this exciting medium, learn color mixing and application techniques to create rich texture. Oil Painting is an exciting medium but a much longer process to learn, it can be intimidating as the paint remains wet for longer, but the benefits are this allows you more time to manipulate your work. In our full course you will learn how to create original finished oil painting(s) using personal subject matter with pictures or photos of people and paces and things that inspire you. Work in realism or abstract style & learn professional techniques and tips. This art experience is suitable for beginners who have painted before or intermediate students. We recommend a full class course (or at least 6 sessions) for you to see any progress. Your work may take a few days to dry and can be left in our studio during the duration of your course.

Meets in studio Tuesdays 4:45pm-6:45pm | 2 hr lesson
