Mixed Media Assemblage + Collage for Adults

For Adult Students 18 yrs + over

Mixed media is all about breaking the boundaries between different art forms. In this fun and exploratory class we will combine two principles: collage with mixed media assemblage. Assemblages are usually pieces of artwork that can be either 3D pieces constructed in a range of materials of different thickness using layering and texturizing. Collage is usually a two dimensional art form where items of interest are glued together to form a design, that can involve the use of different textured materials, like colored papers, magazines, newspaper clippings, parts of photographs, theatre tickets or fragments of letters etc. In this thoroughly immersive and exploratory class, we will roll up our sleeves and merge these two principles together and look forward to unexpected and surprising results! Creating mixed media assemblages that hold together not by glue but by your own inventiveness! This class is great for anyone who is looking for ideas and loves to explore and dive in, freeing you up, to use your own self expression.
