The General Camp
Camp Pinebrook is divided into four divisions:
- Dovim (3-year-olds)
- Ktan (pre-k and kindergarten)
- Beinonim (1st and 2nd grades)
- Gadol (3rd to 6th grades)
The camp day begins with Boker Tov, an all-camp meeting at the outdoor Pinebrook Arena that’s filled with laughter, silliness, and tons of Ruach (spirit)! Each day continues with a variety of amazing activities, including one period of swim instruction and one period of free swim. Kosher lunch, snacks, and towel service (!!) is included in the camp tuition.
"On the Rise" / Counselors-in-Training Program (CIT)
Especially designed for teens and tweens entering 7th through 9th grades, ON THE RISE (better known as The OTTERZ) brings together the best parts of being a camper and staff member. OTTERZ choose the area of Camp Pinebrook they would like to work in (a specialty activity or a camp group) and they are assigned to that area for two weeks, after which they may switch if they choose to.
For teens entering 10th grade (15-year-olds), CITs will work with either a camp group or at a specialty area throughout each day. They are mentored by a group leader or activity specialist, and will receive hands-on experience working with children of all ages. Lunch and snacks are provided.
