Week 1: June 26-30 - Creature Feature
In this week campers will discover and learn all about creatures of the world and their features like: Fins, Fur, Fangs, Feathers and more… With the help of some of the Museum’s animal collections it will be a WILD week.
Week 2: July 3-7 (no camp on 7/4) - Outdoor Artistry
Come explore the beauty of nature through the lens of the arts! Take pride in learning to capture the world you see in your own masterpiece through mediums like visual arts, poetry, or theater to name a few.
Week 3: July 10-14 - A World of Science
Take a trip through the vast world of the sciences, exploring topics ranging from astronomy to geology, physics to chemistry, or from entomology to botany! The possibilities are endless!
Week 4: July 17-21 - Back to the Past!:
Come with us on a journey through time and space to discover ancient animals, gentle giants, fearsome fossils, and more! Whether it be digging up dinosaurs, or marveling at mastodons, campers will gain an understanding for eons long past through discovery, experimentation and play.
Week 5: July 24-28 - Incredible Insects:
The tiny world of Insects is absolutely Incredible if you just stop to take a look. This week campers will observe bugs up close and personal to learn about the importance of Insects, while also playing games and activities based on our tiny bug Friends.
Week 6: July 31 - August 4 - Home Sweet Biome:
Each biome is a home for animals, people, and plants. Every biome is different based on its geography, plants, and animals. Campers will engage in a week of games, crafts, and activities all based on different biomes.
Week 7: August 7-11 - Planet Protectors:
We are planet protectors and we speak for the trees! Even kids can be effective environmental advocates and stewards of nature. Campers this week will engage in preserving and protecting the environment, and learning about actions both big and small that can contribute to helping the planet!
Week 8: August 14-18 - Journey to the Center of the Forest
Adventure awaits in the fields and forests of the ODC, as we don our exploration gear and head out into the wilderness! Campers will learn about maps, navigation, outdoor survival skills, first aid and more as they embark on their forest treks.They may even find some hidden treasure!
Week 8: August 14-18 - Eco Rangers (ages 13-15)
Eco Rangers are for campers who want to go on adventures and camp out! Monday we will go hiking and swimming at Minnewaska State Park. Tuesday we will go kayaking on the Hudson River. Wednesday is spent building our campsite and setting up our meals and hammocks(campers get to keep hammocks). Thursday campers arrive at 6pm, cook aluminum packet dinners over a campfire, play manhunt, eat smores and sleep under the stars. Friday morning, we will eat breakfast, break camp and be picked up by 8am. Do you have an Eco Ranger? If so, sign up for this adventure.

For any camp registrations made LESS THAN TWO WEEKS BEFORE the start date - ALL paperwork and immunization forms must be submitted within 48 hours of your registration

Registration for the upcoming week of camp will close the corresponding Wednesday before at 12pm
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Camper immunizations must be up-to-date and on file with the Nature Museum. Completion of our Health Form is required prior to the beginning of camp. Children whose paperwork is not submitted 10 business days prior to their first day of camp will be removed from the roster and a refund will be automatically applied minus processing fees.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS BY GRADE CAN BE FOUND BY CLICKING HERE. PLEASE NOTE: ALL CAMPERS MUST HAVE TWO DOSES OF THE MMR VACCINE PRIOR TO THE START OF CAMP WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
Photographs: We reserve the right to use any pictures or videos of campers to promote HHNM unless otherwise notified by parents.
Trips: We reserve the right to change/cancel field trips due to weather, safety considerations or other issues beyond our control.
Cancellation & Refund Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 3 weeks prior to your camper’s start date will be eligible for a 70% refund. Cancellations made 2 weeks prior of your camper’s start date will be eligible for a 50% refund. No refund will be made if cancellation is received less than two weeks prior to start date (determined by email date). We reserve the right to cancel any camp program for any reason, in which case a full refund of the pre-paid program fee will be issued. Children dismissed due to discipline, behavioral or similar situations will not be entitled to a refund. Children absent from any day of camp will not be entitled to a refund, credit or exchange of dates. Any change in camp sessions/ dates (if available), is subject to a $20.00 administrative fee, in addition to any other applicable camp fees. **If you require a refund because of unforeseen circumstances or any other cancellation policy/ inquiries, please contact Rob Lipkin at rlipkin@hhnm.org or 845-534-5506 ext 201 in regards to our refund policy.
