In this class you’ll get to experiment with making marble roller coasters from foam and testing their ability to do fantastic things while learning about the forces that make them work.We'll work our way to more and more complex tricks as we build out our room-sized roller coaster. Then it's testing time and we'll see how long and how far we can keep our marbles moving. The class involves some instruction time at the beginning where you will take part in some learning on the fundamental principles of roller coaster physics. The remainder of the time is spent designing and building your project under the guidance of our engineering instructor, Jackie Bastardi. Get ready for some GoPro time as well as we'll record movies on our projects.

Children ages 6 and up may attend: kids through 4th grade would be engaged and welcomed in this educational and fun class that using our loft space as a backdrop to make some pretty interesting coasters.

Marble Roller Coasters: The Fun of Physics One session (3 hours): Tuesday, February 16 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM

Ages 6+

Cost is $55.00. No special requirements -- just comfy clothing and a snack.
