Creatively WILD’s Summer Camp (Ages 5-8)

Our award winning Summer Camps run from Monday June 14- September 2021 with open enrollment all summer long

Held LIVE in-person at our studio in Dumbo. Limited Availability & safety restrictions apply.

Everyday is different- Camp Projects on Fun themes & subjects!

Art Camp projects are set everyday, designed around fun themes, subjects & genres. In our custom designed projects we will take inspiration from the world around us, general interest & things we adore! How about Planet Earth, Elephants, Mermaids, Trains, Architecture, Cars, Unicorns- the world is our oyster- how about oysters! We will also take inspiration from artists, past & present from Basquiat to Bansky! Learning fun applications & techniques they used & apply them to our own camp projects. Our camp day is both fun & educational and campers pick up professional skills that can be used for future artistic endeavors. We explore a huge variety of professional media including but not limited to: Painting, Drawing, Mixed-Media, Collage, Found Object Art & 3D Works- using recycled materials, Cartooning, Doodling, Manga Art, Anime Art!

• Outdoor activities are held in our nearby Brooklyn Bridge Parks and are included in our Full Day Camp Day experience, weather permitting.

• Half Day Camps do not necessarily include outdoor activities, depending on the project, and the day.

• Lunch is at 12pm-1pm and will be taken in the park & will be chaperoned. During lunch campers are kept in their own groups & will not be allowed to mingle with other camp groups or with animation campers.

• If you have siblings attending in different age groups, please advise them , so they know what to expect.

What to expect

Full Day Campers 9am-4pm will complete two finished original art projects in one day. Campers will work outdoors, in our nearby Brooklyn Bridge Park and other fun spots in our area. We will take inspiration from nature, architecture, landmarks & Dumbo’s breathtaking views of Manhattan. Please note outdoor activities are weather permitting ONLY

What to bring

• A Mask (masks must cover nose & mouth & must be worn at all times while in the studio)

• For Full Day Campers- A packed lunch (lunch is at 12-1pm & will be chaperoned & taken in Brooklyn Bridge Park, weather permitting

• A water bottle or drink, any snacks you require (snacks & drinks are not to be shared with other students or staff)

• Hand Sanitizer (we have hand sanitizer dispensers, but we also advise bringing your own personal stash)

• Early Drop off @ 8:00am * additional fees apply

• Summer Half-Day Camps are offered mornings 9am-12pm or afternoon 1pm-4pm (one project will be completed & outdoor activities may or may not be included/ depending on the day & project)

Registration

• Prior registration is required for all camps as spots are extremely limited.

• All campers are required to fill out a camp waiver form prior to arrival. This will automatically pop up when you register before check out.

• Please be familiar with our Safety Guidelines prior to arrival

• Please brief your children prior to attending camp as to what is expected of them. We want your experience with us to be a joyous one!

Walk in Policies

Camp spots are extremely limited & booked in advance. We advise registering as soon as you can to reserve your spots. While we welcome last minute sign ups & walk ins (numbers permitting) please note the following

• If you have not registered & show up at our studio wanting to join a camp, you will be required to fill out a camp waiver upon arrival. You will not be admitted to the camp until the waiver has been completed.

• Filling out a camp waiver is mandatory at this time, even if you attended before or we know you.

• Filling out the waiver takes a few minutes & will affect your class or camp start time, so we strongly advise registering in the normal way on our website prior to arrival. This way you can check in without all this hassle.

• Drop off is busy with temperature checks & role call so you can really help by registering in advance.
