Armor Week Family Workshop: Stained-Glass Gems

Return to the days of lords, knights and princesses—and even dragons—as Wave Hill pays homage to former resident and scholar of arms and armor Bashford Dean.

Spend one, two or three afternoons building, decorating and populating your own medieval castle. Today, design and create your own brilliant, multi-colored work of art that draws inspiration from the stained-glass rose windows of medieval times. Using foil tape and jewel-toned plastics and paints, build a beautiful sun-catcher or candleholder that will help your home feel a little like a medieval castle. Programs are geared to families with children between the ages of five and 10. Space is limited. Armor Week event.
$25/$15 Wave Hill Member per session includes one child and one adult. Additional child or adult is $10. Registration required, online or onsite at the Perkins Visitor Center.
