Auditions for Spotlight Arts' Summer Mainstage "SEUSSICAL” April 13 & 14
"Oh, the thinks you can think" when Dr. Seuss' best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper!Join Spotlight Arts for their summer mainstage production and perform in the hit contemporary musical, SEUSSICAL with book, music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. This show is a perfect opportunity for summer theater fun for elementary, middle school and high school students! Auditions for this large scale commercial production with direction by industry professionals are by appointment only and are open to ages 8-18. Many fun roles are available for all ages and levels of ability and experience. Auditions take place on Friday, April 13th from 4:00-7:00pm and Saturday, April 14th from 4:00-7:00pm at the Studio Around the Corner, 67 Main Street, Brewster NY. About the show: Now one of the most performed shows in America, SEUSSICAL is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once on This Island, Ragtime), have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.The show rehearses intensively 3 nights per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays) May 29ththrough July 12thonly. Performances on July 20, 21, 22.
