‘Twas the Night Before Kwanzaa is an original fantasy comedy that joyfully celebrates the African American holiday, Kwanzaa, and takes you on a journey where no other African American holiday film has gone before….

Filled with lovable characters, original music, and a host of recognizable television and film actors, this is a movie for the entire family that shows an appreciation for Kwanzaa. It will also leave you laughing in your seat.

Our story follows two Afrocentric elves named Edee and Boo who are summoned by the Ancestors from the great beyond to find Santa Claus and an eight-year-old girl named Ena, with poor self-esteem, and divert them to an imaginary place called Kwanzaaland to learn about Kwanzaa.

Problems arise when after much fumbling, mumbling, and bulging, Edee and Boo Boo mistakenly divert an imposter Santa Claus to Kwanzaaland instead of the real Santa. The imposter is actually Fast Eddie, an escaped convict on the lam.

In Kwanzaaland, Ena learns the meaning of the seven Principals of Kwanzaaa, but still seeks Santa Claus while Fast Eddie believes he’s found a criminal’s heaven. To his surprise, he learns there’s no crime in Kwanzaaland. Children really listen to their parents—and greed doesn’t exist. And so, with a dazzling smile and lovable personality, he quickly goes to work doing the only thing he knows best—pick-pocketing, scamming and conning. Sparks fly all over Kwanzaaland. The principals of Kwanzaa are in jeopardy! Eventually, both Ena and Fast Eddie’s path cross and the result changes both Fast Eddie, Kwanzaaland, and Ena, forever. ‘Twas the Night Before Kwanzaa gives us a newfound appreciation for this holiday that we will never forget.
