Leave the cell phones at home and come to October 1st Westmoreland Sanctuary and Hudson Valley Orienteering will be hosting their fourth annual ‘Explore the Sanctuary’!
The event will be held 10/1/16 from 10:00 – 2:00 pm. Westmoreland Sanctuary and Hudson Valley Orienteering will provide maps and instruction. This is a rain or shine event. This event not only helps create a great family experience but it can support Boy Scout and Cub Scout merit badges.
Enjoy a nice fall orienteering event in the woods of Westmoreland Sanctuary in Mount Kisco! The Sanctuary presents significant elevation changes and is covered with a mix of trees, crossed by a network of trails, and numerous small and large cliffs and boulder fields.
We will be offering courses for all ages, skill levels, and physical conditions. You can stop by the beginner’s clinic to learn the basic techniques of map reading and navigation.
