Hands On History Family Demonstration at Keeler Tavern Museum

At #HandsOnHistory Family Demonstrations, local experts and skilled tradespeople will discuss textile-related topics such as 18th-century weaving, flax processing, Native American textiles, weaving in contemporary art, sheep rearing, and natural dye-making. On November 3, Susan Jackson, owner of Georgetown School of the Arts in Redding, CT, will demonstrate different weaving styles and techniques, as well as how she combines them to make beautiful art.

Family Demonstrations are FREE for all visitors as part of free site admission on Sundays from October 6 through November 3. As part of free site admission, visitors can also take a 30-minute Highlights tour of the historic tavern museum.
