Discover the hidden math that shapes the world we live in! From the graceful spirals of galaxies and seashells to the perfect symmetry of snowflakes and crystals, math is everywhere in nature—waiting to be explored.
In this exciting, hands-on program, children will uncover the surprising connections between numbers, patterns, shapes and the natural world. Mathematical principles appear in everything from flowers to seashells. Through fun and engaging activities, participants will learn about fractals, symmetry, tessellations, biomimicry, Fibonacci’s sequence, and more.
We will use math concepts to inspire creativity, children will create their own works of art, solve puzzles, and conduct experiments that highlight the connection between math and the natural world. By the end of the day, they’ll have a newfound appreciation for math—and they won’t even realize they’ve been learning! Imagine… using nature as an inspiring teacher!
Math isn’t just about numbers—it’s the language of the universe.
