The Youth and Precollege Programs in the Arts offer middle and high school students an exciting opportunity to dive into visual and performing arts with guidance from professional artists and educators. Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush, stepping on stage, or trying something entirely new, you’ll build skills, confidence, and lasting memories.

Rising 9th graders have the option to enroll in either middle school or (most) high school programs, allowing them to select the option that is the best fit for them.

Students not only build artistic skills—they gain confidence, make new friends, and grow both personally and creatively. Purchase College offers exceptional spaces that inspire creativity across every discipline. Musicians, actors, filmmakers, and artists work in professional studios, performance spaces, and editing labs, while the 160,000-square-foot Visual Arts Building—one of the largest in the Northeast—provides state-of-the-art studios and tools for art and design students.  It’s an enriching summer experience that your whole family will remember and value for years to come.
