What is a caring approach to help children develop into healthy, loving, mature adults? Dr. Robert Brooks, a world-renowned psychologist, will describe a positive, resilience-based approach to discipline that focuses on a child’s strengths as well as on building a respectful and problem-solving environment at home. He will share research-tested strategies for nurturing your child’s self-control, self-reliance, and self-confidence—all important attributes for lifetime success. Dr. Brooks is a clinical psychologist on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and the author or co-author of 22 books, many of which focus on resilience across the lifespan. His talks are filled with practical, realistic suggestions, and he is known for the warmth and humor he uses to bring his insights to life.
