Small group classes in person at PGT this summer.
We're so lucky! We have lots of big spaces in our beautiful building. So, with small groups and well-planned classes, social distancing can be observed....and we can STILL have a wonderful, and much-needed creative experience together!
Scene Study & Monologues
In small groups, students will work on scenes (Tuesdays) and monologues (Thursdays) to develop nuanced and compelling characters and relationships, tapping into their own imaginative worlds in response to examination of the text. Students will learn to dig beneath the surface to find what is driving a character and the action of the scene. Emphasis will be placed on making bold and specific choices, and working from a brave physical, emotional, and intellectual place within a supportive environment.
Students will benefit from the small group setting, as we will have time to fully explore the themes, circumstances, and motivations within the text of each scene and monologue, and to find the joy of discovery through the process of that exploration.
Students will showcase their work in a livestreamed performance at the end of the class series. Enroll in either or BOTH new classes and get back to PGT this summer! Use the Discount Code ANY2 when registering for both classes online for $50 off the second class.
Social distancing will be observed. Space is limited: classes will be capped at 6 students. Students can request placement with up to 2 other students.
