Vacation Day Camp at Earthplace offers engaging activities for children aged 3-12 on school holidays. Depending on the season, campers may climb trees or rocks at Big Rock Junction, explore the trails around Earthplace, or improve their fort-building skills.

Vacation Day Camp at Earthplace offers exciting opportunities for discovery, tailored for children ages 3-12. Depending on the season, campers may enjoy climbing trees or rocks at Big Rock Junction, exploring the trails at Earthplace, or honing their fort-building skills.

Each vacation day is unique and varies based on the size and interests of the group. Campers spend the day outdoors, taking time to visit our residents in Animal Hall and engaging in age-appropriate nature-based art projects. The focus is on appreciating the beauty and natural resources of the Earthplace sanctuary.

Fall Dates:

Thursday, October 2 (Yom Kippur) - Home Sweet Home:

  • Have you ever wondered how some animals, like beavers or birds, make their homes? Get ready to be inspired and build and test your own structures!

Tuesday, November 4 (Election Day) - Crittermania:

  • At Earthplace, we love animals! Visit with our creatures, find out why they are here, and what care they need. We’ll compare how wild animals prepare for winter and create critter-inspired games or crafts. Be sure to cast a vote for your favorite critter!

If your child is spending the day with us, please pack:

  • A reusable water bottle
  • Lunch
  • A snack (or two snacks if staying until 3pm)
  • A change of clothes, including shoes
  • Boots and snow gear in colder weather

Our vacation day classroom is outdoors, so please dress your child appropriately for the weather and label all items with their name.

If there is a thunderstorm or the temperature with wind chill is lower than 16°F, the campers will be brought inside for safety. Please register carefully, as we do not offer refunds.
