Walkway Connections (For Kids!): Connecting Forests and Boatbuilding

On Friday, August 21 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the East Gate Plaza in Poughkeepsie, Caitlin Chung of Hudson River Sloop Clearwater will make it easy for kids to connect forest ecology and the growth patterns of various trees to the properties of their woods. She’ll then talk about how shipwrights utilize these different woods for different purposes when building wooden boats, drawing examples from the construction and ongoing maintenance of the Sloop Clearwater.
