Aboard a private fleet of vessels, our experienced captains plan adventures exploring deserted beaches, hiking across uninhabited islands, and scouting urban remnants while encouraging fun and empowerment within the camp group.

Specially designed for teens and tweens entering 7th thru 9th grades, ON THE RISE (better known as The OTTERZ) brings together the best parts of being a camper and staff member. OTTERZ choose the area of Camp Pinebrook they would like to work in (a specialty activity or a camp group) and they are assigned to that area for two weeks, after which they may switch if they choose to.

This week-long program introduces adventurers aged 12–15 to essential wilderness skills like backpacking and orienteering, guided by expert Chris Varian. This training will culminate in a Friday-Saturday overnight hiking and camping trip led by Chris and another experienced adult. Teens will hike out to a campground, set up their own tents, cook by a fire, and enjoy a summer night under the stars!
