March Nutrition Month programs at Northern Westchester Hospital’s Center for Healthy Living

For National Nutrition Month this March, Northern Westchester Hospital’s new Center for Healthy Living offers programs for the entire family, including a free demo that will show parents how to cook breakfast with one hand and a baby on their hip. Other programs include mindful eating programs for parents, kids and tweens; sheet-pan dinner demos; how to introduce solid foods to babies; the role of nutrition in preventing colorectal cancer; nutrition for brain health; and the ABCs of food allergies. In addition, CHL offers nutritional counseling, a teaching kitchen and grocery store tours. The Center, located next to the Whole Foods Market in Chappaqua Crossing, supports health and wellness goals through education, diverse programing and referrals from an expert health navigator.

- March 4, 4-5:30pm ($15 per person)
Family: Mindful Eating and Food Relationships- Parents and tweens cook together and learn how to build a foundation for a balanced diet and a positive body lifestyle.
- March 6, 10-11am ($20 per person)
Parenting: Mindful Eating and Food Relationships Seminar- Registered dietitian Jodi Greebel helps parents talk to kids about food & lifestyle & shares strategies to help manage diets for overweight children.
