Independent Lake Camp is a premier, elective-based, overnight camp for ages 6-17 in the Pocono Mountains. Step into the shoes of global leaders, tackle pressing issues, enhance your public speaking and debate skills, get daily personalized feedback from champion mentors, gain confidence, and make like-minded friends! Experience dynamic MUN simulations on engaging U.S. and Global topics, public speaking and improv games, trivia, transformative lessons, social activities, and explore your dream campus. The MUN Institute’s vibrant atmosphere, filled with flags and positive energy, will bring out the best in you, inspiring you to debate diplomatically in our polarized society, excel at MUN, and change the world! On the final day, students take part in a thrilling simulation on a current global issue. They'll represent a new country, deliver a compelling opening speech, engage in dynamic debates, & collaborate with peers to draft a resolution. Parents are welcome to observe the final simulation!
